Hurdsfield Vipers 3 vs 2 Tarvin Athletic FC U12 Blu

A glorious sunny morning for a league fixture against Tarvin. It was getting warm so it was a tough day with lots of energy put in from both sides.

The 1st half we were scrappy. Doing ok going forward and had a few half chances but were pretty dominated certainly in the early stages. Tarvin got several clear chances, with Jack to our rescue with some great saves to keep us in the game.

We made a few subs and had almost immediate impact. A few minutes before the break Rory played a good ball down the inside left. Zak took the ball forward and his cut back reached Ash who got it out his feet and finished into the corner. 2 minutes later we extended our lead.

Siddarth playing in CM nicked the ball and reached the byline and dug out a cross to the back post. Oliver was in perfect position at the back post to nod in from close range.

2 really good goals but overall quite fortunate to be ahead at half time.

Into the 2nd half we were battling well. The game had chances at both ends. Zak had a few chances but couldn't find the back of the net but we were creating more and should have made more of a few breaks where we had good overloads.

We got our 3rd when Oliver won the ball and worked it to Owen, he squared to the far side of the box and Rory finished really well across the keeper. A tense ending after Tarvin pulled one back. A point blank header from a beauty of a corner.

We held on well and the boys gave everything for the win. Huge performances all round, especially Jack, Tymon and MOTM Frankek.
