AFC Valour 5 vs 0 Insulators Reserves

AFC Valour had a deserved 5-0 victory over the young Insulators Reserves side. For the first quarter of an hour it was tight, with Insulators having a couple of decent chances. However, on seventeen minutes a through ball saw the defence outpaced and a cool finish. Within five minutes two more goals had been added and left Insulators with a mountain to climb. A further chance for Insulators flew over the bar and the half time talk was about getting the next goal.

A good start was made as requested, but half chances came and went. The game was over on the 65th minute when a back pass to the keeper was a little short and his clearance fortuitously rebounded into the net off a Valour forward. A 5th goal in the 82nd minute just added to the scale of the defeat.

Insulators are a fairly young side in Division Three and not quite ready for decent Division Two opposition, but never gave up and were a credit to the club. The scorers for AFC Valour were Brad O'Dell and Steve Ednie each with two, there was one for Ash Wells. Paul Redfern in goal kept his sheet clean.
