Insulators Reserves 1 vs 3 Dunton Green

Dunton Green remain in second place on goal difference, beating Insulators Reserves 3-1 at the Memorial Ground.

This was a very even game, where penalties decided the outcome. Dunton Green started slightly the stronger and brought two good saves from the home keeper. Insulators had several half chances, but it was difficult to see where a goal was coming from. This difficulty was rectified when a foul by the home keeper resulted in a penalty which was calmly converted by Dunton Green's Rory Ward. Half time 0-1.

Insulators were not switched on early in the second half when a quickly taken throw in resulted in a free shot on goal by Alec Gates, which was deflected in by a defender for 0-2. The home side came into the game more and James Tierney pulled one back in the 69th minute with a powerful header from a corner. End to end football and anyone's game but a second penalty for Dunton Green also taken by Ward proved too much for the home team, although they battled away and never gave up.
