Insulators Reserves 1 vs 2 Hawkhurst

After last weeks performance against Paddock Wood, Slators went into the game full of confidence and hopeful for their first victory of the season

The game, played in wet and windy conditions, was going to plan as the home team dominated the play and deservedly took the lead after 17 minutes through Sam Minter-Friers

Several chances followed, but were spurned by Insulators and they were left red-faced after a free kick was conceded and Hawkhurst drilled the ball across the area to find their man at the back post for an equaliser. 1 all at half time

Insulators continued to dominate but couldn't find the breakthrough and again were left to rue missed chances. A free kick goal for Hawkhurst following a back pass infringement, saw them take the lead.

Insulators pushed for the goal but played too narrow and didn't take advantage of the space and pace out wide to unlock the defence. The equaliser wasn't to be and Hawkhurst celebrated at the final whistle after a unlikely victory

It was a familiar story for the Slator's, too many missed chances and 2 sloppy errors for the opposition goals. We have a tough game away to the division 2 leaders next week and will need to improve or it could be a long day
