Insulators Reserves 6 vs 3 Riverside Colts

Insulators Reserves kept up the pressure with a 6-3 home win over bottom outfit Riverside Colts. Insulators went into the game with confidence but within three minutes were a goal down after a clearance struck a Riverside player and drifted into the home net. Within three more minutes Jake Pingault equalised from the edge of the penalty area and five minutes later added a second from just inside the area. Any thoughts of pulling away were shattered as Riverside equalised on fourteen minutes with a shot from the edge of the area. On the half hour Pingault ran through from a long ball pass and calmly made it 3-2 and claim a hat-trick. Soon after, Riverside hit the crossbar. Shortly before half time Bailey Wright made it 4-2 to the home side at half time.

In the 53rd minute Josh Heinricci made it 5-2 from close range then Pingault scored his fourth from a 25 yard free kick. A minute later Riverside added their third to make it 6-3. There were more goals, but plenty of chances with a fine tackle by Martin Ives for Insulators stopping a dangerous situation.

Insulators always had more of the play, but Riverside played some decent football and were dangerous on the break.
