Insulators Reserves carried on from last week's win, recording a good 4-2 home victory over Ticehurst Village.
Insulators started the game well, with lots of possession. A number of half chances came and went, there was nothing to seriously test the visiting 'keeper.
As often happens, it was the side with less of the ball that took the lead. On nineteen minutes Insulators lost possession midway in their own half. A superb cross to Rob Briley was well met and finished with an equally fine shot to put the Village int the lead. Just after the half hour, a combination of defensive errors let Ollie Marsh in to increase the visitors' lead to 2-0
Despite playing well it didn’t look good for the home side But, deep into first half stoppage time, Nik Weedon gave Insulators hope with a fine finish from twenty yards.
The second half saw a much sharper start by Insulators. Harry Bourne brought the scores level on 52 minutes with a deflected shot and a few minutes later Harry Mascall scored from the penalty spot after Jake Freeman had been fouled. 3-2 to Insulators. A nasty clash of heads between two Ticehurst players delayed the game midway through the half, but fortunately both recovered well.
Ticehurst gradually gained a foothold and had a good spell, before a Harry Mascall free kick made it 4-2 with five minutes remaining.
