Tonbridge Origin 2 vs 5 Insulators Reserves

If ever the phrase a game of 2 halves was true it was today. In the extremely blustery conditions at Tonbridge Farm it was actually against the wind that both sides prospered as with the wind too many balls flew through to each goalkeeper.

Insulators started well but were 1 down after a good counter attack from Origin. A scrappy half where football was difficult was made worse for insulators as Origin repeated the trick of a quick counter to go 2 nil up 5 minutes before half time.

A change of shape and personnel for Insulators seemed to work through as Jake Freeman set up Harry Mascall for Insulators first of the game early in the second half

Insulators started to turn the screw and were awarded a penalty on 62 minutes which Cole Walsh confidently stuck away

Harry Mascall then turned provider for Sam Minter-Friers and some excellent play from Kieron Pattenden to set up Harry for his second and Insulators 4th followed soon after

On 80 minutes Harry completed his hat trick and Insulators saw out the remainder of the game to take the three points.

A tough game in challenging conditions and some very tired legs at the end of it.
