Insulators Reserves 2 vs 1 TW Ridgeway

Insulators Reserves stay fourth after a close game with TW Ridgewaye Reserves. This was excellent end-to-end game which either team could have won. In the early stages Insulators probably had more of the ball but Ridgewaye broke through on several occasions and either home keeper Craig Smith made a fine save or the forward missed the chance. Eventually on thirty minutes Toby Gandell played a fine ball in from the right for top scorer Harry Mascall to finish well. HT 1-0 to Insulators

Ridgewaye came out with purpose in the second half and dominated proceedings. It was no surprise when, on 55 minutes, they equalised with a fine shot by Billy McLeod. At that moment the smart money would have been on Ridgewaye.

They continued to have the better of the game, but slowly Insulators clawed their way back in. Chances came at both ends with both 'keepers excelling. In the end it was a penalty 10 minutes from the end for the home side that made the difference. Harry Mascall tucked it away calmly.
