Insulators Reserves 2 vs 3 Yalding and Laddingford

Insulators Reserves met Yalding & Laddingford in a very open, enjoyable game which either team could have won. Insulators took the lead on 21 minutes when Craig Smith headed in following a long ball forward from Lewis Mitchell. Unfortunately for 'Slators, Yalding equalised within 2 minutes following a long ball over the top of the home defence, hit home by Billy Dunn. Later, a fine save by Dan Marks in the Insulators goal kept the half time score of 1-1.

It only took Yalding three minutes of the second half to take the lead when the home side failed to clear a corner and the ball was knocked in from close range by Grant Allen. The away side got a grip on the game for the next ten minutes and Marc Faulkner added a third on the hour. Insulators will be disappointed that this was a free header from a corner around eight yards out. Further half chances came at both ends and an even game with Jamie Burchill giving Insulators hope when scoring from close range on 81 minutes after good work from Craig Smith. There were no further goals but it was a decent game for the supporters.
