Another win boys ! well done for your efforts today. This could so easily have gone the opposite way for us today. The width of the post in the second half at one each was all it may have taken to see us fall behind again. After some dazzling displays this season it was nice to see a hard fought determined victory for a change. Although we finished the game on a high for large peiods we struggled to get the better of this hard working Bicester side. Our opponents deservedly went in front after fifteen minutes when they found time and space down the middle of the park  to score with ease. Earlier efforts had been wasted when presented with clear openings which was lucky for us. Tyler had one chance only moments before the goal but ran in too close to the keeper , a mistake he would not make late in this game. Our slow beginning had made life difficult for ourselves but that all changed the moment Ned jinked inside his marker and set Lewis free .Lewis spotted the run of George and threaded a wicked ball into his path where George managed to get his shot away as the defence and keeper closed in  GOAL and we were back level. We finished the first half just like we would the second being totally on top and only some fine goalkeeping would prevent us from going in front.

In the second half we got to grips with our opponents but were being denied that elusive goal with a mix of good goalkeeping and hardworking defenders. Our forwards and midfield were largely reluctant to get on the end of many of George, Thomas and Neds crosses and so good opportunities were getting hard to come by. George blazed over and soon after we were almost punished as Bicester were awarded a free-kick thirty yards from goal. A huge shot then bounced back off our post and Joe and Ned raced back to avert the follow up.This close call proved to be the wake up call the sleepover kids needed. Ned burst down the right and curled a pass around the full back for George to chase. The covering defender slid in to tackle but took both ball and player at the same time and a free-kick was awarded our way. George dusted himself down then lashed over a great cross that...wait for it...Jonty headed yes headed into the roof of the net.and we were in front for the first time. The Bicester players seemed to lose heart and we seemed to go up the gears for the remainder of the game. Our confidence restored we went on to score twice more in the final minutes. George hit a superb long range effort that sailed over the keepers outstretched fingers to make it three and Tyler cooly finished off the scoring this time beating the keeper in the one-on-one situation. It was harsh on the keeper as he had been Bicesters star player. Our own keeper again looked assured and was quick off his line several times in the first half to distract the oncoming forwards. The back line played well once we had blown away the cobwebs of the first twenty minutes. Ned and Thomas both offered great width and used their space wisely Lewis and Jonts are getting a great understanding of their role in the team now  and are more often than not in the correct position where they can do the most damage to our opponents. Ty and George keep up the good work only one offside flag between the two of you. And once again thankyou to Alex , Matty and Harry for your patience on the bench.
