Lads Club Juniors U13 travelled to Hereford City Sports Club Mini Soccer on 11 October 2026 for a 12:00pm kick-off in a league away fixture against Greyhound FC Juniors U13. The nine-a-side contest lasted 60 minutes plus added time, with Lads Club Juniors producing a stunning 13-0 victory to emphatically assert their dominance.
Deploying a 3-4-1 formation, Lads Club Juniors lined up with Lucas Price in goal, protected by a back three of Thomi Scoular at right defender, Louis Howells centrally, and Riley Smith on the left. The midfield quartet featured Finn Jones on the right, Zayn Prosser and Flyn Watkins centrally, and Charlie Arnold on the left, supporting lone striker Chase Bracegirdle upfront. This setup promised a solid defensive base with width and creativity in midfield, aiming to supply the striker and create numerous goal-scoring opportunities. The substitutes available were Archie Rigby, Will Horley, Rupert Bruton, and Oscar Jones.
The match burst into life early as Finn Jones delivered a precise cross into the box in the third minute, allowing Flyn Watkins to curl one in with his right foot, setting the tone for the afternoon. Shortly after, Thomi Scoular attempted a long pass at six minutes, though no one was able to connect with it. Louis Howells tested the opposition at seven minutes with a headed wide effort, while Charlie Arnold’s shot was saved at nine minutes. Finn Jones then provided a cross that created a clear chance, leading to a saved attempt by striker Chase Bracegirdle.
The visitors doubled their lead in the tenth minute when Charlie Arnold volleyed home expertly with his right foot. Louis Howells flicked header at 13 minutes, creating another opportunity, though Finn Jones’s subsequent attempt went wide. Thomi Scoular’s long pass at 14 minutes ended in a foul setting the stage for Riley Smith to score a direct free-kick with his left foot at 15 minutes, extending the lead.
A flurry of substitutions followed at 16 minutes, with Archie Rigby, Will Horley, and Rupert Bruton coming on for Thomi Scoular, Finn Jones, and Zayn Prosser respectively, and Oscar Jones replacing Charlie Arnold. Rupert Bruton quickly made an impact, delivering a long pass at 23 minutes that created a chance, while Chase Bracegirdle’s shot went wide. Will Horley capitalised on the opportunity, scoring with his right foot at 23 minutes.
Louis Howells then scored twice in quick succession, first from a close-range right-footed finish following a corner assist by Rupert Bruton at 25 minutes, and then converting a penalty two minutes later. Rupert Bruton’s shot was saved at 29 minutes before the half-time whistle at 30 minutes. Substitutions continued at half time were Finn Jones, Thomi Scoular, Charlie Arnold, and Zayn Prosser reintroduced, replacing Louis Howells, Oscar Jones, Riley Smith, and Flyn Watkins respectively. The second half began with Archie Rigby heading home a close-range goal from another corner delivered by Rupert Bruton at 31 minutes. Riley Smith’s attempt was saved in the same minute.

Throughout the second half, Lucas Price marshalled the defence with composure, while the first half saw the defensive trio of Thomi Scoular, Louis Howells, and Rilwy Smith combined solidity with attacking contributions. Midfielders Finn Jones, Zayn Prosser, Flyn Watkins, and Charlie Arnold provided creativity and width, feeding the forward line where Bracegirdle led the line.
