Away league match played on 21 December 2014.
Kicked off at 9:30 AM

Manor Park FC 0 – 10 Maidenhead Crown FC / Division 3 Sunday Morning Thames Valley Football League

It was the last game of this calendar year and we were finally back to league action of what seemed like endless cup games…….

League games with Manor Park have always been tight, testing battles, but not this one.

In truth we dominated in every way, and the game was over after 30 mnts.

We put Manor Park to the sword with great passing, good movement, and in some cases, superb finishing. Just simply a superb team performance.

When the team performance is so good, it’s hard to select a MOTM, but this week the honour goes too KENNY EATON.

It’s not often you can say that three players all got a HAT TRICK. Those players were STEVEN EATON, KENNY EATON & MATTHEW HILLIER.

We opened the scoring after 5 mnts, STEVEN EATON with a good finish of the inside of the post.

Soon followed by MATTHEW HILLIER scoring our second.

Then STEVEN EATON won and finished a penalty.

ALAN BURTON finished well for our 4th goal.

KENNY EATON got our 5th .

MATTHEW HILLIER then scored a great free-kick from about 20 yards.

STEVEN EATON then completed his hat trick just before the break with another good finish.

Halftime Score 0 – 7

We knew it would be difficult to keep the same tempo and quality in the second half, but it was all about keeping a clean sheet and adding a few more goals if we could, and we did.

KENNY EATON had his shirt pulled in the area and the penalty was awarded, he finished well from the spot to make the score 0 – 8

Then came the best finish of the game, maybe the season, KENNY EATON completed his hat trick by controlling a pass superbly before blasting an unstoppable shot into the top corner from just outside the box.

There was still enough time for MATTHEW HILLIER to claim his hat trick with a good finish with about 85 mnts played.

Our goalkeeper made 2 notable saves and again showed good handling when required.

A superb way to end the year and an important win to not get dragged into the bottom half of the table.

It’s been a good start to the season and we are looking forward to the second part of the season.

“ This is a team going places, I am so proud to be part of such a great bunch of lads who are not only good people, but talented footballers “

We have a 2 week break now and our next game is at home at Desborough Park VS POB FC in the league on the 4th of January.

( Special mention to the team captain WARREN EAMES who during the Christmas break will be in hospital undergoing back surgery, all best wishes from the team )
