As I said at the end, it wasn't vintage Barkhill today. But it was very pleasing to get our first summer league win and we played some nice stuff at times.

Obviously we had a bit of luck (for probably the first time ever) at the death, but I thought we deserved the victory.

Playing on a small, rock hard pitch isn't easy for a passing side like us. If your touch isn't pretty much perfect and your passing accuracy isn't quite there, you make life hard for yourselves. And I think that was the case today. As it was last week.

I don't think it's any coincidence that our best summer league performance so far has been on the bigger pitch.

But I would ?? rather us continue to play proper passing footy through the thirds and put ourselves at potential risk than going the long, safer option.

For the second week running, we had to battle back from a losing position. So again, credit to the lads for that ????

So positives to take, but as always, things to learn from and improve.
