Obviously a very disappointing start to our summer league.

The quality of the opposition aside, that first half was by far our worst performance of the season. It looked like we hadn't played together or kicked a ball for 6 years, let alone 6 weeks.

Better second half, but still not what we know our boys are capable of.

When I signed us up for this summer league, it was gonna be an A and B division like last season. Its turned out to be one tough division.

But I didn't for one moment think about pulling us out, because I wanted to give the lads a chance to play more footy in what's been a difficult academic year and I wanted us to be tested in preparation for next season. I also ?? believe in them.

So a big thing in this summer league will be belief. I felt some of our boys yesterday were beaten before we stepped onto the pitch.

And for me, there is absolutely no reason we should feel like that. In fact, we should feel the exact opposite.

Me, Al and all our boys need to learn from yesterday, and I'm ?? confident we will.
