Masia FC U13 Primera 2 vs 5 Brooklands Dragons

Masia 2 - 5 Brookland Dragons

Well done today, girls. And let’s be honest - if that scoreline had been 5-2 to us, I don’t think anybody watching would have complained.

Willow ????

Honestly, don’t let the result get you down. We deserved so much more from that game and, for long periods, we were the better side. After a tough few weeks, it was brilliant to see the confidence coming back at half-time.

Some of the football on display today was class.

The amount of chances we created was ridiculous. We got into good areas again and again - now it’s just about becoming more ruthless and finishing every chance we get.

There were waves where the intensity was exactly where we need it to be. We piled pressure on them, won the ball back quickly and kept coming again.

But the thing I was happiest with was seeing eyes open, heads up and players making the right decisions over and over again.

Player of the Match - Willow

Two goals, but it was everything else that stood out as well. Pressed with real intensity, battled for every ball up top and never once assumed something was somebody else’s job. Just kept working and making things happen.

The scoreline doesn’t tell the story of that game.

Plenty to be positive about today. Keep playing like that and the results will follow.

Well done, girls
