Everyone grafted today and you deserved that one. Their coach had nothing but praise for you and said you’re the best team he’s seen, which is a massive compliment.

I don’t want to put a dampener on a great result, but remember what games like this are for.

When we realise a game is going to be comfortable, we don’t just use it to make ourselves feel good. That’s when we switch into training-ground mode and start really working on our possession game, movement and tactics.

Can the striker drag a CB out of position?

Can the wingers recognise when to run in behind?

Can we move the opposition around and manipulate their defensive?

Can we create the space we want rather than just attack the space they give us?

That’s how games like this make us better.

Again though, I don’t want to take anything away from the performance because it was great to see you playing with confidence again.

Orla -Played like prime Dani Alves at times ?? Constantly trying the overlap, joining attacks and cleaning up. At points I wasn’t sure whether she was a defender or winger.

G – Tenacious winning the ball back, dropped into every position she was asked to play and scored an absolute worldie to get us going.

Notable mention

Emily - Her awareness today was off the charts. Dropped into CB when Libby went forward, manipulated their CMs wide to open the middle of the pitch and broke lines with almost every ball she played.

Really intelligent performance.
