Mile Oak Football Club travelled to Lindfield Common on 21 September 2025 for a league away fixture against Lindfield Juniors Rovers, kicking off promptly at 12:00pm. The visitors produced a stunning attacking display to secure an emphatic 11-2 victory in an 80-minute contest, leaving no doubt about their superiority on the day.

Mile Oak lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, deploying Archie Gunn in goal. The defensive line consisted of Charlie Morton at right back, Josh Boarer and Will Newton as central defenders, and Olle Webb on the left flank. In midfield, Herbie Woolin and Stan Churchyard operated as the two holding central midfielders, tasked with both shielding the defence and initiating attacks. Ahead of them, the three attacking midfielders were Harrison Franklin-Lester on the right, Alfie Brookes-Baker centrally, and Izac Woodward on the left, all expected to support the lone striker, Tyler West, who led the line. Lindfield Juniors Rovers managed to pull one back in the 36th minute, offering a brief glimmer of hope, but Mile Oak’s dominance was unshaken. The first half concluded at the 40-minute mark with Mile Oak firmly in control.

Lindfield Juniors Rovers struck again in the 42nd minute, narrowing the deficit to 5-2, but Mile Oak responded swiftly. Izac Woodward, back on the pitch, unleashed a stunning long-range strike in the 49th minute to restore the five-goal cushion.

Isaac Samagh continued his remarkable scoring spree with goals in the 54th and 62nd minutes, bringing his tally to five for the match. Alfie Brookes-Baker added to the tally in the 67th minute before being substituted by Tyler Mugridge three minutes later.

Mile Oak’s left back Olle Webb capped off the scoring in the 72nd minute, rounding off an extraordinary team performance with a goal of his own.

Isaac Samagh’s clinical finishing and overall impact earned him the player of the match accolade, a well-deserved recognition for his four-goal haul.
