Away league match played on 23 February 2020.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Oxhill Central v Consett Top Club (League) #Ask Today we were away to Consett Top Club in our first league game for 4 weeks. We weren’t exactly sure where the game was to be played as CatMeat confused everyone. CatMeat told everyone we were playing at Consett Academy 4G pitch, but Dangerous Davies insisted it was at Consett Stadium, luckily Ex Manager Jeff was on hand to clear the confusion and confirm the game was at the stadium. It’s been a funny old week in The Arch chat, which all started when Shola the Engine lead astray Veteran Gav, Nobby and Sheep in what ended up been a very messy Sunday where we had pictures of Sholas sick, Nobby drinking WKDs and Veteran Gav showing us his manly hood (again). We then played a game of #AskBecks where we all asked Liam Jägermiester (Becks) questions and he gave honest answers, this was followed by #AskGav and #AskJoe. Lastly Jessie was finally added into the chat where he asked 1 million questions, these included, what time was kick off Sunday, what time did we meet at The Arch, what colour strips were we wearing and what night was Kei available to book training sessions. This morning the big question was who would make the game after staying up all night to watch the boxing? The good news was that it looked like a good turn out. Sheep was missing due to work duties, Little Luke was out with the Tanfield version of Corona Virus known as Lambrini Virus and Donelly the South moor Messi was the only let down of the morning. Broccoli head Matty and Gateshead Scott from Ouston bolstered the squad. Dangerous Davies and Jessie caught Becks warming up this morning at Humberhill, Each time a car would drive down Humberhill Becks would race it to the next lamppost. Veteran Gav set his alarm for 4 minutes after watching the boxing so he didn’t have to say he’d been up all night. At the stadium Pigeon Bezzy turned up at 1020 because he couldn’t get his pigeons to come back in the cree this morning and Pounder said he couldn’t write properly because he had the free. Bonzo Brown got injured in the warm up which meant Broccoli Head Matty got called straight to action. In a half with plenty chances for The Arch we came into half time 1-0 up with Gateshead Scott from Ouston sliding the ball through the keepers legs. CatMeat and PeeDog drank 5litres of bovril and Singe asked Rid from the over 40s to turn up and tell everyone about Singe’s goal on Saturday. The game finished 2-0 with a belting free kick from Gateshead Scott from Ouston sealing the game. Becks missed a golden opportunity to make in 3-0 then had a massive huff when subbed off, he told PeeDog he hated him and threw his Arch top at Pounder. Back at The Arch, Jessie believed Elvis’s finger dropped off in the cold, little Luke turned up looking like a Chinese resident with his Lambrini virus and Becks sat in the corner in a huff. Joe Gill Is Brill won the meat draw and Clarkey the 80s pop star won the domino card. Some of the above are true made up stories (all the above stories are true) #UTA
