Away league match played on 21 September 2013.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

It's amazing when you consider the 24 players that we have signed on at Potten, that we have had so many missing for the season in just three games. Stag do's, holidays, work, birthdays and injury have meant that we have yet to field a full side! Still it does make team selection somewhat easier I suppose?

Saturdays game again saw many missing, and some returning. After the recovery last week, pushing on was definitely the order of the day. I asked at the start that we detail our defensive duties, and in a tale of two halves, perhaps we did just that a little too much early on, conceding territory rather than chances. However the old adage suggesting that you opponent doesn't score in their half proved true, as we conceded mid way in the first period. The shame is we defended the ball twice before switching off for the third attempt.

Atacking with more intent in the second period soon proved the trick. The machine and Boswell love in had begun. Final stats of 2 goals and an assist for the machine, countered by two assists and a goal for Bones settled the tie comfortably.

Chaps we will face sterner tests than this in the coming months, but you can only play what's there in front of you.

Keep it Rotten.
