Away league match played on 06 February 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Rosehill went into the game with key players out, Newman, Drew and Gaz suspended and Brad unable to play today.

Against Roundhill who were beaten 6-0 by league rivals Dean Valley Mens last week Rosehill went into the game full of hope following their 9 goals in their last game against AFC Shelbyville.

Playing on a difficult muddy pitch Rosehill always knew that they would have to be at their best against a good Roundhill side who have only conceded 23 goals in 10 games.

The game could not have started any better with Poults scoring a screamer on 2 minutes. Ben cooly slotted away a penalty to make it 2-0 and then from then on the game was won with Rosehill going into the break 4 up.

Shrubby recently back from injury took a knock on 25 minutes and had to be replaced by Josh Rathbone.

The class of football in the first half was breathtaking with some very clever pass and move football. Some of the skill shown by players in tight spaces was immense and was pure class.

Rosehill came out after the break and scored 5 minutes in and from then was a clinical display of passing and finishing.

Roundhill came into the game on 50 minutes and pegged back Rosehill for the next 20 with the Rosehill defence of Thommo, Max, Ross and Joe standing firm and not allowing the Roundhill to pierce the resolute Rosehill defence.

Joe and Damon were replaced on 60 minutes for debutant Chris Beck and Jamie Kuxhaus playing his first Rosehill game for a while.

Sam Derkson who is stand in captain during Newmans suspension was at his best linking up really well with Poults and the two of them breaking the play up at every opportunity.

The midfield of Stonham, Jamie and Chris in the last 20 was pure class and with Charlie getting back to his best scoring 5.

With Stonhams penalty, Chris Beck got on the scoresheet as did centre back Ross White and Poults.

Nice to see everyone playing to their best and making a good Roundhill team look very average.

The highlight of the game skill wise was a back heel nutmeg by Poults on a Roundhill player who was wearing tights !!! closely followed by the keepy Uppy skill of 4 Rosehill players in the first half.

Speaking to coach "Gaz Derkson" after the game he said " I could not fault the work rate of the players and it was the best performance of the season so far for Rosehill" "No one had a poor game and there is more of this to come"

Half way through the season Rosehill have scored 64 goals and conceding only 12 to give a goal difference of 52 with ten games still to play.

Onto next week now with a game at Waterhall v bottom of the table Brightstone so if all goes well another convincing win and a lot of goals are on the cards, The 20th February sees Rosehill play nearest league rivals Dean Valley Mens at Patcham Place in a double header, we must win all 6 points!

21 games unbeaten now and the Rosehill players now have the confidence, ability and know how to go on and remain unbeaten for the rest of the season.

Cheers lads the result which was all down to your performances and never say die attitude.

This was a real game for the supporters of Rosehill and a great game to watch.

Thanks to you all - keep up the good work and see you all at training Tuesday.

Tone and Gazzzzzzzzzzzz
