Real Saturn FC travelled to RECSAM Field on 15 April 2026 for a league away match against IPG RECSAM STAFF, kicking off at 6:00pm. The visitors delivered a commanding performance, running out 6-1 winners in front of a crowd of 123,456. The match was officiated by Ref Man, whose performance was steady if unremarkable.
Real Saturn lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, a setup designed to balance defensive solidity with attacking flair. In goal, Ah Chui was tasked with commanding the penalty area and organising the backline. The defence comprised Kwan Chien Chan at right back, Seng Bak Tang and Kim Huat as central defenders, and Keong Lee on the left flank. The double pivot in midfield featured Adrian Lok and Mat Mat, expected to shield the defence and initiate attacks. Ahead of them, the three attacking midfielders were Patrick Shih on the right, Kelvin Lim centrally as an attacking midfielder, and Rooy Lau on the left, all charged with creating chances and supporting lone striker Joe Joe. The substitutes available were Chin Heng, Adie AD, Boon Shuay Lau, and Aziem Aziem.
The match began with Real Saturn asserting early dominance. At the 10th minute, Kelvin Lim opened the scoring, slotting home a well-placed finish after a precise assist from Joe Joe, setting the tone for the visitors. However, IPG RECSAM STAFF responded ten minutes later with an equaliser, capitalising on a rare lapse in the Real Saturn defence to bring the score level at 1-1.
Real Saturn quickly regained control. In the 28th minute, Rooy Lau restored the lead with a composed finish, again assisted by Joe Joe, whose vision and passing were proving pivotal. Just ten minutes later, Rooy Lau doubled his tally, this time converting a cross from Patrick Shih to make it 3-1 before the break. The visitors took this advantage into the interval, having dominated possession and created the better chances.
At half-time, the teams went in with Real Saturn comfortably ahead. The second half saw immediate changes from Real Saturn, with Chin Heng replacing Kim Huat at the back and Adie AD coming on for goalkeeper Ah Chui just after the restart. These substitutions did not disrupt the visitors’ rhythm. In fact, at the 49th minute, Adrian Lok extended the lead with a goal assisted by Joe Joe, who continued to influence the game decisively. Shortly after, further changes saw Boon Shuay Lau replace Patrick Shih and Aziem Aziem come on for Mat Mat, freshening the midfield and attacking options.
Real Saturn’s dominance continued, and at the 65th minute, Adrian Lok scored his second goal of the evening, this time assisted by Rooy Lau, cementing the visitors’ commanding lead. The final goal came late on in the 86th minute when Kelvin Lim found the net once more, this time set up by substitute Chin Heng, rounding off a comprehensive 6-1 victory.
Joe Joe was deservedly named player of the match, his three assists and constant threat proving crucial to Real Saturn’s attacking success. The visitors’ tactical discipline and clinical finishing ensured they left RECSAM Field with all three points in a thoroughly convincing display.
