Home league match played on 13 July 2023.
Kicked off at 6:00 PM

RS won again against the Macallum Veterans after not being able to get the better of them for last 2 encounter.

RS started the match with their usual formation, flanked by Laus in Adrian & Rooy with WL spearhead the attack. There is rumors before the match that WL is getting fit to back to his usual self & striving to become the H*****D for RS.

RS attempted to control the game through passing as Macallum Veterans is very experienced team, though they make lacked a bit of pace but make up with a good positioning.

RS created first chance with Rooy cutting in from left & let fly. Keeper made a comfortable save. RS comes again with SB making a run from midfield, WL who have time to turn saw the run & send a cute pass through the defenders, SB collected the ball & try to pass it into the bottom corner, keeper made a sharp save to deny SB the goal he craved so much.

On the stroke of half time, again a lacked of concentration cost RS dear. A simple cross field ball & a through pass caught RS off guard, striker of Macallum beat the offside trap & strive towards goal, Patrikc jnr try his best to stay with him, the striker try to shoot the ball but slightly miskicked it, but it also successfully fooled RS keeper with the low shot into the bottom corner. Macallum leads 1-0 at the break.

During the break, RS coach Mr.xXx make the tactical change & revert Lau BS to the left back role, where the coach considered for some time that this maybe the change needed for Lau to continue his football career. RS also change the midfield formation to diamond in order to regain more possesion & put 2 striker upfront.

After the break, RS comes out a different animal. Macallum struggle to come out from his old half, they no longer have the possession they enjoyed during first half. RS recovered every ball & recycle very well.

Ah Keong who is in good form lately make multiple run to the box, Han Keat anchor the midfield with ease, YY the usual self box to box style.

Ah Keong made a daring run to the box, with the options limited, he pass back to Rooy who waited at the edge of the box, curl the ball out of the reach of Macallum keeper, RS levelled 1-1.

RS keep the momentum up & pinned the Macallum back, Ah Keong again made a run to the box, this time he pass to the Tua Tek on the left wing, he cut in & avoided 2 challenge, rifled the ball into the net. RS leads 2-1.

Lau who is playing as LB now, make a few unexpected challenge, passing the ball well, seems like a tailor made position for him. He is gonna give Johnson a good fight for the spot in the first team.

Here come the Why Haaland of RS appear from nowhere. WL replaced Tua Tek after he score the goals. Keat drive the ball at the heart of Macallum defence, a through pass try to find WL, who's been beaten by Macallum defenders a numerous of time during first half, charged through them & crushed the ball into the top corner of the net.

Fans is shouting Why Haaland to WL, this may bring changes to him. It proved working as YY saw the run of WL, send a long pass from midfield, WL again facing the same defender that harrassed him during first half. WL drive with the ball & shrugged him aside, place a lobbed shot over the keeper head & into the net. Fans keep shouting Why Haaland to WL & decided they will just called him that from now on. RS in the wonderland of 4-1.

Macallum did grab a consolation goal at the end to make it 4-2.

Post match interview, coach Mr.xXx very impressed with the performance of Lau at the left back position, he will continue him at there.

Onto the next one.
