Away league match played on 13 March 2017.
Kicked off at 7:00 PM

This was a winnable game. This should have been 3 points. At no point during this game were The Revs out played.

An early sighter for Evans after a through ball from Beardall went narrowly wide and the team were on top. A much different start against unknown opposition with a high line and pressure put on Chamakh from the off.

And at times when they did manage to break from the shackles Allen expertly dealt with everything and set the team up to attack.

However, the ref lost this game very early on. Their nutter of a player starting with Tyman at a corner and then having to be calmed down by his own player.

He should have been warned much earlier than that too!

And so when the ref does not intervene and calm the situation down then one of The Revs turns vigilante...

Beardall may not be the hero The Revs want, but he's the one they deserve...

And so with a beautiful pinpoint slide tackle on the half way line taking their nutter out, ball and all, things got tasty! He stood up and stamped on Beardall in clear view, causing a melee in the middle.

It took D. Pinkstone to calm the situation as tempers went off in all directions like it was the 4th of July... Cos baby, your a firework!!

Beardall's tackle did not deserve a straight red, but that's what he got... although the ref typically tried sending Allen off in the confusion. He then produced a red for the opposite player too - which was far worse - I mean what kind of coward stamps on someone whilst on the ground?!?!

The ref has to take a portion of the blame by letting tempers get frayed during the game. He had no control! Hell, half the time he was stood on the next pitch?!?!

Moments later Evans was put through by Steane and the keeper, still full of adrenaline, lunged two footed taking Evans completely off his feet but the ref only gave a freekick outside the area!

Tempers bubbled...

Add to that their red carded player giving it the big licks from the sidelines too, the ref had lost this game.

Moments later Evans was through again and a carbon copy with the keeper two footed in, this time Evans jumped out the way, but it was still a dangerous tackle and it went unpunished.

Tempers flared, the ref was confronted, the opposition claimed The Revs were cheats and there was a bit of handbags at dawn going on.

Play eventually continued and The Revs pressed for a winner, but alas, it wasn't to be. A ball was lofted forward, leaving a 2-1 situation and their lanky lad shanked the ball in for the only goal of the game with a minute left...

But that minute was still action packed. This time Steane was bundled over, the ref waved play on and that was the final straw for Steane who let loose with a barrage of expletives towards the ref.

Unfortunately I am writing this before the watershed and so cannot publish the exact phrase!

Steane received his marching orders also and was sinbinned for his foul mouth. We shall be washing that out with soap soon enough!

The opposition just punted the ball forward whenever there was a loose ball to time waste and the seconds eventually ran out. A third straight loss, a third game without a goal... things are not looking good.

Add to that P. Pinkstone hobbled off too and Myers misses next weeks game and things are not looking good at all.

This season had promised much but has quickly turned into a nightmare!
