You remember your first kiss? Your first crush? Your first love? Well The Revs will remember this season's first victory that's for sure! This game had everything!

Against top opposition in Juventarse, who put 9 past their opponents last week, The Revs came out on top!

They needed it too. After a clumsy start to the season The Revs needed to get back to their former selves of hardworking, never say die attitude. And from the start that's what they delivered. J. Evans with an early sighter with his left foot and soon after close to connecting to Beardall's cross before limping out the game with 7 minutes barely on the clock.

However, that didn't deter those on the pitch with Beardall pulling the strings and stretching the opposition all game.

It's not to say the opposition didn't have their chances, far from it. The Revs rode their luck on plenty of occasions, but with Steane in magnificent form the opposition resorted to long range shots.

P. Pinkstone had his hands full with their big lad in what looked like chinos, but no one was going to point out his fashion mistake that's for sure. He caused all kinds of havoc and had the upper body strength to really out muscle most and get a shot off.

However, The Revs have their own brute strength in the form of L. Evans who was putting in the big shoulders himself, including on their big man and put him out of the game after one big hit!

The defence was a bit lack at times, but scrambling defence worked with D. Pinkstone playing safety first and booting the ball out of play on several occasions.

The opposition did eventually break and score, but The Revs didn't let their heads drop.

This game was all action!

The equaliser came just before half time from man of the moment Beardall after D. Pinkstone challenged for the ball and it perfectly fell into the path of Beardall who calmly side footed into the bottom corner.

Early in the second half The Revs pushed on, at times against the run of play, and Beardall returned the favour lofting a perfect ball over the top for D. Pinkstone to get on the end of and make it 2-1!

Juve pushed forward looking for a way into the game. P. Pinkstone marshalled and hounded though leaving the opposition fuming at wasted long range attempts.

On the break Allen chased down and forced the error from the defender, his quick thinking from the kick in caught the opposition unaware and Beardall pounced on a loose ball and rifled it into the top corner to extend the lead.

Cue scenes of madness!!

But The Revs do not like doing it the easy way with spurned chances from L. Evans who his it high and mighty when through and Beardall not realising he had more time for his potential hatrick when hitting the side netting.

Back at the other end The Revs were under pressure, Steane pulling off some wonderful saves but eventually the found a way through when an unmarked man at the back post took advantage of a wayward shot to tap home unattended.

Moments later Steane made a rare error and kicked out to their striker who didn't need a second invite to make it 3-3.

The impetus was with Juve now as they hunted the winner. Hearts were in mouths though when Steane and Allen decided to play keep ball at the back as the oncoming attack closed in...

With a minute to go a corner was won which was whipped in with some speed. Juve's defence couldn't handle it and half cleared it. Tyman - whose flicks had caused chaos for the opposition in the second half - was quick to pounce, his first touch not as clean as he would have liked, but his second was spot on and he smashed it too one side of the keeper to make it 4-3!!

There was no time for the opposition to get back up the park as the final whistle went and The Revs earned their first points of the season!!

That boys, that is how you do it, that is The Revs way!! This was the start of the season for the boys in blue, time to build on this now.

Fantastic win and fantastic display by all involved!
