RIT Dubai welcomed Dubai Police Academy to HCT on 10 February 2026 for a league home match that would ultimately decide which of the two sides would progress to the central play offs.. Over the course of 70 minutes plus added time, RIT Dubai secured a commanding 3-0 victory, showcasing clinical finishing and defensive resilience in front of 100 spectators.

RIT Dubai lined up in a 3-1-4-2 formation, deploying three defenders at the back with a single central midfielder shielding the defence. Omar Taalab guarded the goal, supported by Khalifa Albedwawi on the right, Mohsin Ayaz centrally, and Aws Dashash on the left in defence. Mohamed Hazza operated as the lone central midfielder tasked with breaking up opposition play and distributing possession. Ahead of him, a quartet of attacking midfielders featured Nariman Samani on the right flank, Mohamed Haitam Yousfi and Mohammad AlSayyed centrally, and Masoud Barahoey on the left. Leading the line were Saeed Alhashemi on the right forward position and Hazza Yateem on the left forward spot, expected to spearhead attacks and convert chances. The bench included Artur Farhutdinov, Husnain Khan, Mahmoud Sabouh, Ahmed Qadourah, and Abdelhamid Darweesh.

The match burst into life immediately as Hazza Yateem stepped up to take a penalty in the opening minute but saw his effort saved. However, RIT Dubai quickly responded to the rebound with a goal for Mohamed Haitam Yousfi, who calmly tapped in from close range with his right foot. This early strike set the tone for the home side’s dominance.

The opening exchanges were physical, with fouls committed by Mohamed Hazza, Saeed Alhashemi, and Hazza Yateem between the 4th and 7th minutes, reflecting a fiercely contested midfield battle. Just four minutes after the goal, Mohammad AlSayyed doubled the lead with a well-executed team move. Yateem delivered a precise cross that AlSayyed finished with his right foot, further asserting RIT Dubai’s attacking threat.

At the 14th minute, a handball by central defender Mohsin Ayaz conceded a penalty to Dubai Police Academy, but goalkeeper Omar Taalab produced a crucial save to deny the visitors and maintain the clean sheet. This moment proved pivotal, as it prevented any momentum shift.

RIT Dubai continued to press, with Saeed Alhashemi hitting the crossbar from a free kick in the 16th minute, narrowly missing a chance to extend the lead. The midfield tussle remained intense, with multiple fouls by Mohamed Haitam Yousfi and Nariman Samani between the 22nd and 25th minutes, indicating the physical nature of the contest.

In the 29th minute, Nariman Samani was forced off injured, replaced by Artur Farhutdinov. The same minute saw Khalifa Albedwawi receive a yellow card for a bad tackle, while Mohamed Haitam Yousfi was also cautioned for dissent. Despite these disciplinary issues, RIT Dubai maintained their composure.

Masoud Barahoey attempted a shot wide in the 30th minute but redeemed himself three minutes later by scoring a close-range solo goal, assisted by a short pass from Yateem. This goal put RIT Dubai firmly in control at 3-0.

Khalifa Albedwawi continued to be involved in fouls during the closing stages of the first half, which ended at the 35th minute. He was substituted at half-time for Husnain Khan, allowing fresh legs to bolster the defence.

The second half saw continued physicality with fouls from Saeed Alhashemi and Hazza Yateem in the 39th and 42nd minutes respectively. Yateem was flagged offside in the 44th minute, while Saeed Alhashemi’s attempt early in the second half went wide.

Artur Farhutdinov, who had come on earlier, also had a couple of wide attempts, including one at the 47th and another at the 54th minute. Omar Taalab remained alert, making a full-stretch save at the 49th minute to keep the clean sheet intact.

At the 51st minute, RIT Dubai made a double substitution, bringing on Mahmoud Sabouh for Saeed Alhashemi and Ahmed Qadourah for Mohammad AlSayyed, refreshing their attacking options. Later, Abdelhamid Darweesh replaced Mohamed Haitam Yousfi in the 61st minute.

Hazza Yateem had another wide attempt at the 61st minute, and Ahmed Qadourah was caught offside at the 63rd minute. The match took a decisive turn in the 66th minute when a player from Dubai Police Academy was shown a red card for offensive language and/or gestures, reducing the visitors to ten men and further easing RIT Dubai’s path to victory.

Mohsin Ayaz and Masoud Barahoey were named players of the match, reflecting their outstanding contributions both defensively and offensively. Ayaz’s defensive solidity and Barahoey’s goal and overall attacking threat were key to RIT Dubai’s comprehensive win.

In summary, RIT Dubai’s 3-0 triumph was built on early goals, resolute defending, and clinical finishing. The team’s 3-1-4-2 formation allowed them to control the midfield and create numerous chances, while goalkeeper Omar Taalab’s penalty save and other key stops ensured a clean sheet. This result secured RIT's top 6 finish and sent them into the playoffs where they will look to get the better of UOWD.
