RIT Dubai welcomed Heriot Watt University to the HCT on 26 October 2026 for a league home match that kicked off at 8:30pm. Over the course of 70 minutes plus added time, RIT Dubai delivered a stunning performance, overwhelming their visitors with a comprehensive 9-0 victory.

RIT Dubai lined up in a 3-1-4-2 formation, deploying three defenders at the back with a single holding midfielder shielding the defence. The defensive trio consisted of Aws Dashash at right defender, Mohsin Ayaz centrally, and Saif edin Abu Sneineh on the left. Mohamed Hazza occupied the central midfield role, tasked with linking defence and attack. Ahead of him, four attacking midfielders operated across the flanks and centre: Artur Farhutdinov on the right, Mohamed Haitam Yousfi and Mohammad AlSayyed centrally as attacking midfielders, and Abdellah Jemal on the left. Leading the line were two forwards, Saeed Alhashemi on the right and Hazza Yateem on the left, expected to spearhead the attack and convert chances. Youssef Fahem guarded the goal. The substitutes available were Mohamed Hanafi, Mohamed Boudrai, Khaled Yaghi, Nariman Samani, and Abdelhamid Darweesh.

The match got underway with an early foul from Mohamed Hazza in the second minute, signalling RIT Dubai’s aggressive intent. Barely a minute later, the hosts opened the scoring when Saeed Alhashemi delivered a precise long pass into the box, allowing Hazza Yateem to slot home with his right foot. This early breakthrough set the tone for what was to become a relentless attacking display.

RIT Dubai continued to press, though Saeed Alhashemi was caught offside in the fifth minute. Attempts followed from Mohamed Haitam Yousfi, whose shot was blocked in the seventh minute, and Mohammad AlSayyed, who rattled the crossbar two minutes later. Saeed Alhashemi also struck the post in the tenth minute, while another effort from Yousfi was saved shortly after. The visitors struggled to contain the hosts’ attacking threat.

A foul by Aws Dashash in the 13th minute did little to stem RIT Dubai’s momentum. Saeed Alhashemi’s blocked attempt in the 16th minute was swiftly followed by a spectacular goal from Dashash himself in the 17th minute, who scored directly from a corner kick with his left foot at close range, assisted by Alhashemi’s delivery. The goalkeeper Youssef Fahem was called into action with a confident punch in the 19th minute and a fingertip save over the bar a minute later, keeping the clean sheet intact.

Hazza Yateem’s attempts in the 24th and 25th minutes went high and wide respectively, while Alhashemi fired over in the 27th minute. Mohamed Haitam Yousfi committed a foul in the 32nd minute, but RIT Dubai’s dominance was unquestionable. The first half concluded at the 35th minute mark, with RIT Dubai comfortably ahead.

At half-time, RIT Dubai made a double substitution: Mohamed Boudrai replaced Abdellah Jemal, and Mohamed Hanafi came on for Mohammad AlSayyed. The second half began with Yousfi again conceding a foul in the 36th minute before Boudrai scored in the 37th minute, finishing a team move with a right-footed strike following a short pass from Hanafi. Hazza Yateem was flagged offside in the 38th minute but still managed a saved attempt moments later.

RIT Dubai’s fluid attacking play continued as Mohamed Hanafi doubled the lead in the 40th minute, converting a short pass from Alhashemi with his right foot. Alhashemi’s wide attempt in the 42nd minute and a foul by Saif edin Abu Sneineh in the 44th minute punctuated the period.

The second half substitutions continued with Khaled Yaghi replacing Hazza Yateem in the 51st minute and Nariman Samani coming on for Artur Farhutdinov a minute later. Yousfi’s shot was saved again in the 52nd minute. Mohsin Ayaz earned a yellow card in the 54th minute for removing his shirt after scoring a spectacular goal from outside the box with his left foot, assisted by Boudrai’s cross.

Alhashemi’s attempts continued to miss the target, wide in the 55th minute, while Abdelhamid Darweesh replaced Mohamed Hazza in the 58th minute. Khaled Yaghi scored a close-range tap-in with his left foot in the same minute, assisted by Yousfi, extending the lead further.

Boudrai’s wide effort came in the 60th minute, followed by another blocked attempt from Alhashemi. Nariman Samani then found the net in the 62nd minute, finishing inside the box with a right-footed strike from a short pass by Hanafi. Khaled Yaghi committed a foul in the same minute.

Mohamed Hanafi added his second goal in the 64th minute, completing a team move with a right-footed finish off a short pass from Yousfi. The scoring spree continued as Abdelhamid Darweesh unleashed a screamer from outside the box with his left foot in the 66th minute, assisted by Samani’s set piece delivery.

Towards the end of the match, Aws Dashash had two attempts blocked and saved in the 69th minute, but the scoreline was already emphatic. RIT Dubai’s attacking prowess was relentless throughout, culminating in a dominant 9-0 victory over Heriot Watt University.

Mohamed Haitam Yousfi was deservedly named player of the match for his influential role in midfield and key contributions to the team’s attacking moves. This comprehensive win will surely boost RIT Dubai’s confidence as they continue their league campaign.
