The Dynamos lined up in a 4-1-4-1 formation, designed to provide a solid defensive base while allowing for fluid attacking transitions. Kai Hudson took his place in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of Tom Wood on the right, Alfie Glynn and Tom Pearson in central defence, and Billy Watters on the left.
