Home league match played on 30 September 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

The first home game of the season.

The weather was overcast and the pitch was moist, after a good performance last week the team were in good spirit.

It didnt take long to get the game started with a lovely ball thru from Joe .G, leaving Marc just to go round the keeper and slip it into the back of the net 1-0 with just 3 mins played. A couple of mins later and Marc was thru again after a pass by Charlie this time the keeper managed a good save .By the 10min mark we had tested the keeper a couple more times.

However it wasnt all one way traffic with Matty pulling off a good save managing to parry the ball away which fell to a spixworth player who put it just the wrong side of the post. Spixworth earnt a free kick on the edge of the area which was put just wide.

17 mins in and we had a corner, a good ball in from Joe.S had the ball bouncing around in the area with a couple of efforts saved off the line before the defence cleared it. Next it was the turn of Louis to have a shot which was fractionally wide.

Callum played a ball towards the corner flag which was picked up by Joseph, the keeper was out to him but he calmly lobbed the keeper 2-0.

Joe.G picked up a knock and was replaced by Michael who slotted straight into a defensive role, clearing a couple of efforts from the visitors.

Marc had a good run down the left, Louis was in the box waiting, but Marc realised that he would have been offside if he passed opted to shoot putting the ball just wide. Some good play between Charlie and Joseph created another chance for Marc, who slipped it just the wrong side of the post.

2nd half

Ryan replaced Charlie. Louis moved into a more central role as Ryan played out on the right.

Spixworth attacked again and were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box after Hayden had handled the ball. The ball went just inches over the bar.

Marc turned supplier, putting a ball thru to Louis who went 1 on 1 with the keeper, slotting it past him 3-0.

Sam came on to replace Hayden in defence.

Ewan played a diagonal ball towards the corner flag which Marc picked up and crossed the box where Louis dragged it past the far post. Ewan then went off after picking up an injury with Joe.G coming back on.

After another good save from Matty we were back on the attack. The spixwoth keeper made a save from Marcs shot. As he kicked the ball out, now playing against the wind the ball fell to Louis who kicked the ball straight back in 4-0.

By now we were in full control and attacking in numbers. A long free kick taken by Joe.S sent Marc down the left. He layed the ball across the box for a simple tap in by Joe.G 5-0.

A long goal kick by Matty was met by Marcs head who directed it goalwards for Louis to chase but he was beaten to it by the keeper. We kept on the pressure and Marc picked up the ball dribbled thru the defence and slotted it past the keeper 6-0. Our players were queing up to have a shot on goal. Ryan was next shooting across the face of goal scoring in the bottom corner 7-0. A few mins later and Joseph turned provider putting the ball across the face of the goal for marc to get his hat-trick 8-0.

Spixworth had not given up, with only a min to go they attacked again  resulting in their player being brought down just inside the box. The ref blew for a penalty, the home team appealed, but the ref who had a great game stuck to his decision. Up stepped the striker and struck it well only for Matty to save it.

As we went into injury time we kept the pressure on with Ryan keeping his cool playing the ball across the edge of the box for Marc to wrap up the game 9-0.

A great result from a great team effort. 9 goals 5 scorers and another clean sheet. Well played boys.
