Stirling Albion 2010 Reds 4 vs 0 Easterhouse FA

Reds 4 - Easterhouse 0

For the 2nd time in 3 weeks we again faced Easterhouse - last seasons CLYFA champs - this time in the Scottish Cup. We know they'd be up for it after the league game and so it proved. The first half was a real battle. After the game settled down we did control things for 20-25mins and had some good chances through Eman (2), Dan and Daniel but couldn't get the crucial opener. And the last 15mins of first half was pretty scrappy as we stopped moving the ball so well.

At half-time we asked he boys to calm things down and get the ball moving again which they all took on board. Easterhouse had a player sent off around the 50minute mark and we used the man advantage well. Kyle got the first after a good team move from the back - getting on the end of the loose ball in box after initially driving 40yrds to help start the move. Max grabbed the crucial 2nd around the hour mark, before grabbing his second with a lovely flick then controller finish from 18yrds. Eman completed the scoring , running onto a great through ball from Lennox and rounding the keeper.

Game ended with 10 bookings and a red card which showed how much the boys had to work for the win. Great to progress to next round against a strong opponent.

MOTM - he was missed the previous weekend when out with a knock but Max returned to the side with a great 90minute performance. Workrate and off the ball side as good as ever but also contributed getting forward from midfield and rewarded with 2 goals
