Really poor showing from us tonight - 3-0 down inside 20 minutes and all 3 goals very much preventable. Given a pretty even start to game we really put ourselves up against it with our failure to do the basics. We went into the game with a terrific record versus Kilsyth - unbeaten in all 8 games at 11s. However we didn't deserve to keep that going tonight.

First half we actually had more of the ball and territory but Kilsyth were clinical on the counter and more aggressive in contact and deserved the lead at half-time.

2nd half we went backwards - losing the territorial edge but still too open at the back. Only a terrific goal from Ellis - who was our clear MOTM tonight - to show in 2nd half. Ellis won the majority of his duels all night and showed the attitude needed from more of his teammates.

There was time for a bizarre decision in 2nd half when Eman was taken out by the keeper as he was about to score.- however even at 5-2 against 10men it wouldn't have been enough.

Yes we were missing a couple of key players tonight but needed to be much more competitive all over the pitch. Our success in recent years has begun from hard work off the ball and defending well - that wasn't there tonight.

Well done to Ellis for a MOTM performance - he's really back to his best and showing his teammates the workrate needed to win big competitions. Max and Haris can also hold their heads up after tonight but too many short in terms of desire and decision making. We'll bounce back from this but lessons need to be taken on board.
