With the league decided the boys seemed a little flat for this one in first half. Westerton were working extremely hard and closing down space across the first half. We needed to be calmer on the ball with better supporting movement - however too often we rushed or played down tight side. Westerton grabbed an early goal when we made a hash of playing out from the back - and the Westerton forward finished into corner from 25yrds. With their workrate off the ball - they're certainly not a team you want to gift a goal to and we'd made it tough for ourselves. Despite not being at our best first half we still created 4 or 5 excellent chances - but our finishing was off all night.

Had a good chat at half time about what needed to change and to be fair the lads took it onboard. We controlled the 2nd half with wave after wave of attack - but a combination of wayward finishing and fully committed defending saw us draw a blank. Frustrating night all round has we had over 25 attempts at goal. One of those nights. Credit though to Westerton who I thought gave their all across the 80mins - with some resolute defending and nothing given cheaply.

MOTM - not many contenders in first half apart from Emmanuel - who was his usual ball carrying, attacking menace on the left. 2nd half a number of improved performances but Eman gets the nod based on an 80minute display
