Tiki Taka Dortmund welcomed Aspull Juniors Arrows to St James’s High School on 25 April 2026 for a league home match kicking off at 10:30am. Over 70 minutes plus added time, Dortmund ran out convincing 6-1 winners in an 11-a-side contest refereed by Mason. The hosts asserted their dominance early and rarely looked troubled throughout the encounter.

Tiki Taka Dortmund lined up in a classic 4-3-3 formation, deploying Kamsy Anajemba in goal. The back four featured Brajan Staszkowicz at right back, Archie Hunt and Lawrence Nwakamma as central defenders, and Nathen Platt on the left. In midfield, Mustafa occupied the right midfield berth, Zac Leach played centrally, and Zac Humphries-Deveney took the left midfield role. Up front, the front three consisted of Sonic Leung on the right wing, Favour Ajumobi leading the line as striker, and Yasin Mohammed on the left wing. The substitutes available were Alex Maoneo, Andrew-Franz Nkemka, Finley Barlow, Oscar Manders, Seka Sewagudde, Inno Maoneo, and Kain Woodside.

The 4-3-3 setup promised a blend of width, midfield control, and attacking threat, with the full-backs expected to support both defence and attack. Staszkowicz and Platt would provide defensive solidity and overlapping runs, while the midfield trio aimed to dominate possession and supply the forwards. Leung, Ajumobi, and Mohammed were tasked with stretching the opposition defence and converting chances.

From the first whistle, Dortmund showed intent. Within the opening minute, Favour Ajumobi’s effort was saved, but Sonic Leung quickly capitalised on the rebound with a close-range tap-in using his right foot to give Dortmund an immediate lead. Just two minutes later, Lawrence Nwakamma played a great long through ball pass down the left wing, signalling Dortmund’s intent to play expansive football.

Zac Leach came close to doubling the advantage on four minutes when his shot struck the crossbar. However, the breakthrough came shortly after when Brajan Staszkowicz delivered a precise cross for Favour Ajumobi to slot home a right-footed finish from 10 yards, completing a well-worked team move by the eighth minute.

The early exchanges saw a flurry of key passes, including a nice long ball from Leach and a chance-creating cross from Staszkowicz at the tenth minute. Unfortunately Ajumobi attempt from the cross was just over the bar, with the hosts continued to apply attacking pressure on the visitors. Zac Humphries-Deveney also contributed a chance-creating long pass at 12 minutes, with Sonic Leung’s subsequent attempt saved by the Aspull Juniors Arrows goalkeeper.

Goalkeeper Kamsy Anajemba was called into action at 13 minutes with a comfortable catch, but moments later produced a brilliant double save, first a crucial penalty save at 16 minutes, followed by a point-blank reaction save, denying the visitors a lifeline.

The first wave of substitutions began early with Alex Maoneo replacing Sonic Leung and Andrew-Franz Nkemka coming on for Favour Ajumobi at 18 minutes. Brajan Staszkowicz was replaced by Finley Barlow two minutes later, and at 25 minutes, Oscar Manders and Seka Sewagudde came on for Nathen Platt and Archie Hunt respectively, signalling a tactical refresh.

Finley Barlow’s defensive contribution was notable with a well-timed tackle at 27 minutes. Mustafa then delivered a long pass out wide at 28 minutes to Yasin Mohammed who's cross found Zac Leach, but his attempt went high. Inno Maoneo made a key defensive intervention with a tackle at 37 minutes, and Leach, now in goal, made a comfortable catch two minutes later. At 40 minutes, Kamsy Anajemba returned to the pitch, replacing Yasin Mohammed, while Zac Humphries-Deveney came back on for Inno Maoneo at 45 minutes. Sonic Leung and Favour Ajumobi also returned, replacing Kain Woodside and Andrew-Franz Nkemka respectively.

Oscar Manders showed defensive grit with a tackle at 46 minutes. Zac Humphries-Deveney’s shot was saved at 47 minutes, and Lawrence Nwakamma blocked a promising chance a minute later, preventing the visitors from gaining momentum.

Aspull Juniors Arrows pulled a goal back at 49 minutes with a close-range header from a corner, briefly halting Dortmund’s dominance. Lawrence Nwakamma was replaced by Archie Hunt at 50 minutes, and Leach made a full-stretch save at 51 minutes to keep the deficit at bay.

Dortmund quickly gave themselves a four-goal cushion when Kamsy Anajemba scored a close-range tap-in at 54 minutes, assisted by Favour Ajumobi’s great through ball pass. The defensive reshuffle continued with Nathen Platt and Brajan Staszkowicz returning to the field, replacing Oscar Manders and Finley Barlow respectively at 55 minutes.

Mustafa expertly converted a penalty with his right foot at 56 minutes, extending Dortmund’s lead further. Archie Hunt made a timely tackle at 57 minutes, maintaining defensive stability. Anajemba’s attempt was saved at 58 minutes, and Alex Maoneo’s shot was also denied at 60 minutes.

Yasin Mohammed’s effort was saved at 64 minutes, but Dortmund’s goalkeeper Anajemba was again on the scoresheet at 65 minutes, scoring with his left foot, with the assist coming from Alex Maoneo.

The final substitutions saw Lawrence Nwakamma and Andrew-Franz Nkemka return to the pitch, replacing Alex Maoneo and Favour Ajumobi at 65 minutes. Seka Sewagudde intercepted a dangerous ball at 67 minutes, and Yasin Mohammed’s late attempt was well saved at 68 minutes. The full time whistle went with Dortmund winning 6-1, the team did a great job today, playing some nice football at times and coping well with the hot weather.
