Tiki Taka Dortmund hosted Ramsbottom United Raptors at St James’s High School on the morning of 2 May 2026, with kick-off at 10:30am, in a pulsating league encounter that ended in a 3-3 stalemate after 70 minutes of intense football plus injury time. Both sides traded blows in a match full of drama, tactical switches, and moments of quality that kept spectators on the edge of their seats right to the end.

Tiki Taka Dortmund lined up in a classic 4-3-3 formation, deploying Kamsy Anajemba in goal behind a back four consisting of Brajan Staszkowicz at right back, Archie Hunt and Lawrence Nwakamma as central defenders, and Nathen Platt on the left. The midfield trio featured Mustafa Farag on the right, Nikita Velicka centrally, and Zac Humphries-Deveney on the left, tasked with linking defence and attack while supporting the front three. Up front, the wide forwards were Yasin Mohammed on the right and Alex Maoneo on the left, flanking the central striker Favour Ajumobi. The substitutes available were Seka Sewagudde, Sonic Leung, Andrew-Franz Nkemka, Oscar Manders, Finley Barlow, Kain Woodside, and Inno Maoneo.

The match began with early defensive solidity from Tiki Taka Dortmund. Anajemba was alert in goal, making a confident catch in the third minute and then pulling off a full-stretch save just four minutes later to deny the Raptors an early breakthrough. Defensively, Archie Hunt showed his aerial prowess with a crucial headed clearance in the fifth minute, while Nathen Platt’s timely tackle at the tenth minute helped snuff out a dangerous attack.

However, the visitors struck first in the 13th minute with a spectacular long-range strike that left Anajemba no chance, putting Ramsbottom United Raptors ahead. Dortmund responded swiftly with tactical substitutions at the 15th minute mark, bringing on Seka Sewagudde for Yasin Mohammed and Sonic Leung for Zac Humphries-Deveney, signalling a shift in positions. Lawrence Nwakamma’s robust tackling at 16 minutes helped stem the flow, but the Raptors doubled their lead just a minute later with another long-range effort finding its way past the Dortmund keeper.

Tiki Taka Dortmund’s midfield battled hard, with Nikita Velicka intercepting a key pass in the 19th minute. Alex Maoneo then came close to reducing the deficit with two attempts, one saved and another flying high over the bar in the 20th and 22nd minutes respectively. Anajemba remained a vital presence, pulling off another full-stretch save at 23 minutes.

The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Brajan Staszkowicz delivered a precise cross from the right flank, which Alex Maoneo expertly finished with his left foot from close range inside the box. Dortmund’s response was immediate and effective. Shortly after, Andrew-Franz Nkemka replaced the tiring Favour Ajumobi at 25 minutes, adding fresh legs to the attack.

Nathen Platt continued to defend stoutly with another tackle at 26 minutes, while Lawrence Nwakamma’s long pass at 29 minutes created a promising chance for Brajan Staszkowicz who tested the opposition keeper with a shot that was well saved, and Platt’s attempt went wide at 31 minutes. The persistence paid off when Mustafa Farag capitalised on a goalmouth scramble, assisted again by Staszkowicz’s cross, to slot home with his right foot at 33 minutes, levelling the score at 2-2.

The half concluded at 35 minutes with both teams going into half time all square, Dortmund did well to come back into the match after going two goals down early in the first half.

Dortmund made two substitutions at halftime, as Yasin Mohammed returned to replace Nikita Velicka and Oscar Manders came on for Nathen Platt, signalling a fresh tactical look for the second period.

Early in the second half, Seka Sewagudde made a vital tackle at 37 minutes, while Mustafa Farag scored his second goal of the match at 39 minutes, converting a corner delivered by Alex Maoneo to put Dortmund ahead 3-2. The hosts’ defensive efforts were relentless, with Yasin Mohammed contributing a crucial tackle at 41 minutes. Anajemba’s agility was again on display with a full-stretch save at 43 minutes.

As the match progressed, Finley Barlow replaced Alex Maoneo at 45 minutes, and soon after Yasin Mohammed’s shot went wide at 46 minutes. Archie Hunt’s defensive discipline was evident with a strong tackle at 47 minutes. Brajan Staszkowicz’s criss at 49 minutes created another chance, although Andrew-Franz Nkemka’s effort went wide.

Substitutions continued with Kain Woodside replacing Seka Sewagudde at 50 minutes, and Archie Hunt prevented a clear chance with a vital tackle at 58 minutes. Staszkowicz then created another chance with a good cross from the right at 60 minutes, but Nkemka’s shot again missed the target. Brajan Staszkowicz was withdrawn for Favour Ajumobi at 62 minutes, who promptly rejoined the attack. Oscar Manders made a crucial block at 64 minutes to deny the Raptors, before being replaced by Inno Maoneo at 65 minutes, with Finley Barlow making way for Alex Maoneo.

Mustafa Farag’s defensive contribution was notable with a headed clearance at 66 minutes, but the visitors were awarded a penalty at 67 minutes, which they converted to draw level at 3-3. This period saw a flurry of substitutions with Dortmund looking for a winner, as Brajan Staszkowicz returned for Andrew-Franz Nkemka, Zac Humphries-Deveney replaced Mustafa Farag, and Nikita Velicka came back on for Sonic Leung.

In the closing stages, Zac Humphries-Deveney’s attempt went wide at 69 minutes, and Archie Hunt made a crucial goal line block at 70 minutes to deny the Raptors a late winner. Despite the frantic finish, neither side could find the decisive goal, leaving the match evenly poised at 3-3 and both teams taking a point.

Oscar Manders was named player of the match for his influential defensive displays and timely interventions that kept Tiki Taka Dortmund in contention throughout this thrilling encounter.

The Dortmund team showed great determination and composure today after finding themselves 2 goals down early on. They started slow but grew into the match and were probably unlucky not come away with the win.
