EDC 2 vs 3 Unique FC U10

Good Morning Boys,

I thought yesterday was a really fantastic game of football. Two strong sides going toe to toe. I thought overall we deserved to win the game and I was pleased with our performance.

I thought the first half, EDC probably slightly edged us. They had us pushed back at times and it took us until the break to really get our shape right on how to deal with their base player going into midfield (like what we do with Rory). Once, we got Jude/Carter doing half and half between their base player and their rolling CB, we really took control in that second half.

I thought we created a load of chances (we need to become a little more ruthless in taking these chances) and defended really well. Simeon, best performance so far. Some great saves but much better with your feet and braver coming out.

EDC, had a decent mix to them, they didn't really play out and looked to go longer however when they got into our half they started to link it well. I was so pleased with how we dealt with their directness at times and not allowing the ball to bounce.

I also want to pick out Oscar who twice dealt with 2v1 situations, delayed stayed central and forced mistakes.

Rory, I thought it was another really good performance for you and Teddy Allen... Unbelievable goal.

Good work boys, let's keep working hard, Luca this weekend

Thanks

Ollie
