Unique FC U10 0 vs 2 R&R Cobras

Good Afternoon Boys,

My initial thoughts after the game were it was a decent performance from us and there wasn’t much in it between the two teams. After watching this back, this is still the case in my opinion however I do feel they just edged it.

Boys, we’re massively behind physically currently which is absolutely fine, but I want us to understand two things.

1). This means we MUST compete even more so, we cannot dangle legs and just be accepting of teams dominating physically because they’re bigger. Find ways to compete, Carter shows this every week, being smaller he comes out with 80-20s in their favour often!! We got to have that fight chaps which I felt we lacked Sunday. Jax returning will help us in this department.

2). Bravery, we have to be so brave getting on the ball and trying to play. If we got into end to end games and not playing our style we’ll come up short. I don’t think we did this Sunday but I do feel we didn’t do it as much as I’d liked. Teddy, in Centre Mid, you must be more willing to get on the ball in tight areas and work on your angles to receive. Base players we must be more trusting to playing through our centre mid. Oscar you must work on your weight and detail of pass when doing this.

The first goal we concede is a really poor one boys. We have a corner and we’re 2v1 on the halfway line. I want us to watch it on the veo and stop it at 27:00. The kids body language says one thing, he’s going to smash it. Their 9 is between the both of you Oscar and Avery. There should be one behind and one in front and you should be dropping because of the body language. He should not be getting there first.

Simeon we spoke at the break. Don’t hesitate. You go, the back step then go. Brave firm decisions.

Chaps, on the bright side, we haven’t had a full squad all season. Having bare 7 on Sunday against a good side and missing both Sidney and Jaxton. From this week I’m hoping we have our full squad and more tytn to build as we enter the cup. The games we have lost/not performed in has been by a goal or 2.

Carter, good performance mate.

See you all Friday

Ollie
