Ventolin Inhalers continued their good start to the season with a comprehensive 6-2 victory over fellow premiership newcomers FC United Nations.

When these sides met last season Ventolin won the match 3-2 and knew that they would have be on their game if they were to maintain their promising start.

Unfortunately Ventolin started this match slowly, struggling to find any decent tempo, losing tackles and misplacing passes. It was therefore no surprise that FC United Nations took the lead. A good break down the right saw the FC striker in space and he calmy stroked the ball home with the ventolin defence caught flat footed.

This could have easily been one of those nights where a combination of tiredness and a below par performance could have seen 3 points dropped. Ventolin though are made of sterner stuff and took the game by the scruff of the neck, and in a 10 minute spell scored 3 goals to go in at half time 3-1 ahead.

First DAIN won the ball in the middle of the park, carrying forward before then releasing KEELEY who crashed the ball home from a tight angle. Moments later a ball up the line from DAIN again found KEELEY who this time went round the FC defender before again scoring his second of the game, with a decent strike into the corner of the net.

Ventolin were now firmly in the ascendency, and as if to confirm this Mellor worked the ball to KEELEY who then laid the ball back for PLASS who took the ball in his stride, shimmied past the defender and unleashed a thunderbolt into the top corner of the net.

After a poor start ventolin had taken charge of this match and now were looking to go on and add more goals to their tally.  The second half started much like the first, Ventolin slow out of the blocks, FC looking more lively and again chances were falling to the FC strikers, but a combination of some decent blocks, tackles and saves from Keeley and his defence ensured FC did not add to their score.

Ventolin gradually began to assert themselves and it wasn't long before another good move involving Keeley and PLASS, led to MELLOR making it 4-1 with another good strike. More chances came and went before MELLOR and Keeley combined with a some neat attacking play which ended with KEELEY cracking in his 3rd goal of the game from another tight angle to make it 5-1.

Ventolin then went to sleep for a minute and gifted FC a goal when Plass and Keeley tried to play the ball between themselves only for the FC striker to nip in to score. As the referee looked at his watch PLASS played the ball to KEELEY who advanced from the half way line, beating his marker before crashing a long range drive into the bottom right corner of the net. 6-2 game over and 4 goals for leading scorer and Man of the Match Dan Keeley.

After the game MoM Dan Keeley was pleased with his first hatrick for Ventolin and (also his two assists) and was seen celebrating with the bottle of champagne!

Another solid performance from ventolin ensures they maintain their winning run and can now look forward to next weeks match against Big Balls United.
