Home cup match played on 09 January 2011.
Kicked off at 12:30 PM

Warley's first game in 7 weeks produced an emphatic victory to reach round 4 of the league cup and signal their intent to progress further in the competition than they have done in previous seasons.

Coach Jones, missing captain Callum and Sam D, played an attacking 4-4-2 formation which payed dividends two minutes in after a beautifully floated free kick found Sam S who calmly stroked the ball home. Warley Boro 1 Halas Hawks 0. With the next Warley attack another Dan Forbes corner found the head of Byron who rippled the net to make it Warley Boro 2 Halas Hawks 0. In the 7th minute the game as a contest was effectively over when another Daniel Forbes corner rebounded off an unfortunate Hawk to make it Warley Boro 3 Halas Hawks 0. Warley continued to forge ahead with Dan W. and Sam S. eager to add to their season’s goal tally but it was an unlikely candidate in Kieran who poked the ball home from another of Dan's corners for he’s first of the season and make it Warley Boro 4 Halas Hawks 0. Halas struggled to force themselves forward but on a rare attack Azza tackled hard fed the ball to Byron and produced a sublime pass to the running Dan W. who slipped the ball under the Hawks keeper to make it Warley Boro 5 Halas Hawks 0. With half time fast approaching a similar move involving Azza feeding Sam S. Produced another finish to make the Half time score Warley Boro 6 Halas Hawks 0.

In the second half the emphasis was placed on Warley keeping a clean sheet but they struggled to regain their sharpness with the Halas players giving a good account of their capabilities but captain for the day Luke aided by Kieran, jack, Colm and Brad marshalled the defence defiantly. It wasn’t until the 45th minute when Byron, Sam S. And Dan W. combined making the keeper save low down that Warley started to produce their free flowing football with Azza and Junior playing well on the left which cultivated in the 51st minute when Byron’s ball to Dan W saw another smooth finish to make it Warley Boro 7 Halas Hawks 0. The two combined again in the 56th minute after some unselfish work from Byron on the right to make the score Warley Boro 8 Halas Hawks 0.With only a minute remaining the impressive Anil slid a defence splitting pass to put Sam S in who nestled the ball into the net to make the final score Warley Boro 9 Halas Hawks 0.
