Wigmore Wanderers produced a remarkable away performance, scoring 11 goals to secure a commanding win over Rochester Eagles United.

Wigmore made a fast start and took the lead after seven minutes. Jack Downey finished from inside the box after good work from George Mottram. James Lundie doubled the advantage on 28 minutes, tapping in Ben Brewster’s assist, before Brewster added a third himself with a fine lob from Downey’s pass.

Mottram made it 4–0 on 37 minutes, and Lundie then tapped in his second after another Downey assist. Downey got on the scoresheet himself shortly afterwards, before a Rochester own goal — assisted by Kai Wong — sent Wigmore into half-time with a 7–0 lead.

The goals kept coming after the break. Joseph Tydeman came on and scored within a minute, and Kai added Wigmore’s ninth on 59 minutes. Downey completed his hat-trick on 63 minutes, finishing a move set up by Tydeman.

Kai scored again on 69 minutes to make it 11–0, and that was how it finished. Lundie had a chance to add another from the penalty spot but sent his effort wide.

Brewster was named Man of the Match after a tireless performance that included a superb lobbed goal and an assist. Downey also had an outstanding afternoon with a hat-trick and two assists, while Wigmore kept a clean sheet in a dominant team display.
