History
1ºDezembro was founded on December 1, 1912, by a group of friends who met at the Café Lusitano in Sintra. The club's first president was José de Almeida.
1ºDezembro spent its early years playing in local leagues. In 1938, the club was promoted to the Primeira Liga, the top tier of Portuguese football. 1ºDezembro played in the Primeira Liga for two seasons, before being relegated in 1940.
1ºDezembro has spent most of its history playing in the lower leagues of Portuguese football. However, the club has enjoyed some success in recent years. In 2017, 1ºDezembro won the Campeonato de Portugal, earning promotion to the LigaPro, the second tier of Portuguese football. 1ºDezembro spent two seasons in the LigaPro, before being relegated in 2019.
