AC Enfield

AC Enfield are a Sunday League football team made up of 33 team members.

The team is from Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom and play in the East Herts Corinthian Sunday Football League 1.

AC Enfield started using TeamStats in August 2005 and so far have created match reports and statistics for 290 games.

A.C. Enfield was formed in 2004 by Giuseppe Virciglio, Colin Taitt and Calogero Mingoia.Following a year of training and participating in friendly games we applied to join the Mercury Waltham Sunday League.A.C. Enfield is made up of various people that the founders know from their younger days at St. Ignatius College, cousins and friends of friends etc.Many of our players have played for semi-pro teams and university first teams. Others have previously played for T.J. Rangers, Percival and Europa in the Mercury Waltham League.For our first season (2005/2006) A.C. Enfield was managed by Danny Wilson who is formerly of Percival; Paul Andreas took charge for 3 months of the 2006/2007 season; Paul was a big mistake and was duly sacked in November 2006 to be replaced my Marcello Devizio. Following a couple of Seasons with Marcello at the helm, Salvatore Mingoia took charge in 2010-2011 season.The 2012=13 season sees another change of manager when the club founder Giuseppe took over the running of the team and the team selection with Ricky and Dave taking charge of training.AC Enfield have been promoted 5 times since the creation of the club including 2 promotions in the past 2 seasons and currently ply their trade in Division 1.
