History

ACS GURA OCNITEI were founded in 2010 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Romanian football pyramid, winning promotion to the Liga 4 Nord in 2013 and the Liga 3 in 2016.

The team's best season to date came in 2018-19, when they finished third in the Liga 3. This was enough to earn them a place in the promotion play-offs, but they were ultimately unsuccessful in their bid to reach the Liga 2.

In recent years, ACS GURA OCNITEI have struggled to maintain their previous level of success. They were relegated from the Liga 3 in 2020 and have since been playing in the Liga 5 Nord.
