AFC Cranford was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The team initially competed in the Hounslow & District League, before moving to the Middlesex County Football League in 1983.
The team has won the Middlesex County Football League Division One title on four occasions, in 1987, 1995, 2003, and 2019. They have also reached the final of the Middlesex Senior Cup on four occasions, in 1994, 2004, 2014, and 2019.
