AFC Olimpia Marcesti was founded in 2017 by a group of local enthusiasts. The club initially competed in the Liga 6 Dambovita, the sixth tier of Romanian football. In 2018, the club was promoted to Liga 5 Dambovita.
In 2022, AFC Olimpia Marcesti finished in 12th place in Liga 5 Dambovita. The club's best finish to date came in the 2019-20 season, when they finished in 5th place.
