History
- ATK was founded in 2014 as a joint venture between the Indian company Kolkata Games and Sports Pvt. Ltd. and the Spanish club Atlético Madrid.
- The club won the inaugural Indian Super League (ISL) season in 2014.
- They also won the ISL in 2016 and 2019–20.
- In 2020, ATK merged with the football division of Mohun Bagan.
- The merged club, ATK Mohun Bagan, made its debut in the ISL in the 2020–21 season.
