Formerly the Consett AFC Tots, the bulk of the Dragons squad have played together since the age of five, when they survived a tough baptism in competitive football against teams a year older.
That experience in the South Tyneside League has held them in good stead in the Russell Foster League, where they have thrived.
Paul McCance coached the Tots for theit first 18 months or so in the game, before Neil Farrington took the reins and soon got Rod Butler on board to add his coaching expertise to the set-up.
More than anything, the boys are good friends who love playing together.
