ENIGMA FC is a professional football club based in Luanda, Angola. The club was founded in 2013 by a group of young entrepreneurs who wanted to create a team that could compete at the highest level in Angolan football.
The club's name is a reference to the Enigma machine, a device used to encrypt and decrypt messages during World War II. The club's logo features a stylized image of an Enigma machine, with the letters "ENIGMA" in the center.
History
ENIGMA FC made its debut in the Girabola, the top flight of Angolan football, in the 2014-15 season. The club finished in 12th place in its first season, but it has improved steadily since then. In the 2021-22 season, ENIGMA FC finished in third place, its best finish to date.
The club has also competed in the CAF Confederation Cup, the second-tier continental club competition in Africa. ENIGMA FC reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2021-22 season, where they were eliminated by Raja Casablanca of Morocco.
