Friar Lane & Epworth Football Club is a football club based in Aylestone, Leicester, England. They currently play in the Everards Brewery Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division.
History
The club was formed in 2004 following the merger of Friar Lane Old Boys and Epworth. Friar Lane Old Boys were founded in 1968, while Epworth were founded in 1974.
The new club was immediately successful, winning the Leicestershire Senior League in their first season. They also reached the second round of the FA Vase twice in their short history.
In 2011, Friar Lane & Epworth resigned from the Midland Football Alliance due to a lack of players. They returned to the Leicestershire Senior League the following season.
Current Season
Friar Lane & Epworth are currently in their 19th season in the Leicestershire Senior League. They finished third in the Premier Division last season.
The club's current manager is Andy Ward. Ward has been in charge since 2017.
