History
Golfy was founded in 1975 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Calcutta Football League, and by the early 1980s, they were playing in the First Division.
Golfy enjoyed their greatest success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The team won the Calcutta Football League First Division in 1988, 1989, and 1990. They also won the IFA Shield in 1989.
In recent years, Golfy has struggled to maintain their success. The team has been relegated to the Second Division on several occasions. However, they are always a strong contender for promotion.
