Team Details

Histon Hornets Football Club is a Charter Standard club affiliated with Cambridgeshire Football Association. They are based in Histon & Impington, just North of Cambridge and run by volunteers to help local children enjoy football in a supportive and healthy environment.

The club was formed in the 1970s and have grown steadily over the last 30 years and have over 30 teams participating regularly from U5 to Adults. New players are always welcome to come training prior to signing on.

The club is committed to, and abides by, the FA rules and regulations concerning coaching, child welfare and grass roots football development. They have a Child Protection Officer and, in keeping with their FA Charter Standard status, full CRC checks and minimum Level 1 coaching qualifications in place for all teams.

Cambridge & District Colts League

The Cambridge & District Colts League is a football league for boys and girls under the age of 18. It is affiliated with the Cambridgeshire Football Association and is based in the Cambridge area.

The league was formed in 1970 and currently has over 100 teams participating. The teams are divided into different age groups and divisions, with promotion and relegation between divisions based on results.

The league is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for young footballers to develop their skills. They have a code of conduct for all participants and coaches, and they work closely with the Cambridgeshire FA to ensure that all teams are compliant with the FA's rules and regulations.

The league also runs a number of development initiatives, such as coaching courses and tournaments, to help young footballers improve their skills and knowledge of the game.
