History
The club was founded in 1891 and played in the Football League Second Division from 1892 to 1894. They then dropped out of the Football League and played in local leagues until 1972.
The club reformed in 2001 and rejoined the Leicestershire Senior League. They have won the league championship twice, in 2007-08 and 2013-14.
